What exactly is an online escape room?

Our online escape room experience is facilitated over Zoom!  We have a staff member on-site with a camera who will act as your avatar (moving around the room, inspecting items, and opening locks as you direct them!).  This is the best way to experience an escape room without leaving the comfort of your couch!

I'm not very familiar with Zoom. How can I learn more?

Here is a link to help you get started learning about Zoom.  We recommend that you download Zoom prior to your experience so that it runs as smoothly as possible.  You may also want to learn how to pin videos, how to mute and unmute yourself, and how to switch to Gallery View!

What technology is required to participate in this experience?

We recommend using a laptop, but you can also use your phone. You can what systems are required to run Zoom here.
We also recommend you, test your internet speed, here is one test.

Recommended Upload/Download Speed: 3 MBPS

How many people can play, and how does pricing work?

Our virtual experiences are priced based on number of devices admitted to the Zoom call.   A virtual escape costs $75 for the first 2 devices, and $15 per additional device.

What time will the experience begin?

10-15 minutes prior to your game, we will send you the link to the Zoom call over which the experience will happen!  We ask that you click the link and log-in as soon as you see the email come in.  Once you click the link and log in, you will be in the waiting room for the call.  If you aren’t let in right away, don’t worry!  One of our staff members will send a message in the chat to let you know exactly what’s happening, and we’ll let you in as soon as everything is ready!

How long will the experience be?

The escape room experience itself will run for roughly 60-75 minutes!  We also that you log-in 10-15 minutes prior to your start time, and there will also be a quick debrief and photo op at the end of the game, so it’s best to budget about 2 hours of your day for this experience :)

I have severe motion sensitivity. Will this be an issue?

Our staff does their best to move the camera as smoothly as possible, but the online experience can sometimes trigger motion sickness.  If you have mild motion sickness you will probably be ok (you can always look away from the screen or look at one of the overhead cameras instead of the moving one).  However, those with severe motion sickness may want to think twice about playing.

I have a gift certificate. Can I use this to pay for an online escape room?

Absolutely! Create your reservation as normal.  Then, when you get to the payment page, you will see an option to “Pay with Gift Certificate.”

How does payment work?

Payment will be collected at the time of booking.  We recommend that you choose one person to book the experience here, then have your other group members pay back the person who booked.

Is it possible to cancel or reschedule a reservation?

Due to the current circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, all bookings are final, and we cannot issue refunds. However, we will allow one reschedule, free of charge.  Any subsequent rescheduling will be subject to a $35 rescheduling fee.  Please note, we absolutely want to earn every booking made, so we will work with you and your specific circumstances.

What is our Privacy Policy?

We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. We may collect personally identifiable information when you visit our site. We also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie information, and the page(s) you visited. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to anyone.
